In Malaysia, most electrical and electronic products are controlled goods. General Appliances: Regulated by the Energy Commission (ST). Implementation is executed by SIRIM QAS, commonly referred to as SIRIM. Wireless Products: Regulated by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC, also known as SKMM).
管制範圍
管制范围 电压: 220V/240Vac 50Hz 插头: BS 1363-1 & -2 一般电器产品必须配备 TyPe G 类的英式插头（13A）或者 15A 的马来西亚插头。

证书持证者可以为工厂或国内贸易公司。 插头、电源线、开关、电源关键零部件也需要 SIRIM 认证。 对大部分电子产品 SIRIM 接受 IEC CB 报告用以豁免测试。
The certificate holder can be the factory or a domestic trading company. Plugs, power cords, switches, and key power components also require SIRIM certification. For most electronic products, SIRIM accepts IEC CB reports to waive testing.
进口商必须向 ST 申请 ST COA 证书, ST COA 证书也是申请 SIRIM 认证的条件之一。 SIRIM 证书必须每年复核一次,有效期最长五年,超过作废重新申请证书。
Importers must apply for an ST COA certificate from ST; the ST COA certificate is also one of the prerequisites for applying for SIRIM certification. The SIRIM certificate must be renewed annually and is valid for a maximum of five years; after expiration, a new application is required.
Safety Type Approval (安全型式认可)： 可以选择 SIRIM 工检/验证申请，完毕需于海关检验后，请当地代理商协助购买验证标志贴纸，贴在产品上。
Safety Type Approval: After completing the SIRIM factory inspection/verification application and customs inspection, you can request local agents to assist in purchasing verification mark stickers to affix to the products.
能效认证 Energy Label
认证简介 与安全认证 ST COA 一样，马来西亚能效认证也是由马来西亚能源委员会 (ST, Suruhanjaya Tenaga) 实施。2013 年 5 月 3 日，ST 公布新的《电气设备批准条例 2013》，对包括电视机、冰箱、灯具、风扇和空调在内的 5 类家电产品，强制实施能效标签和最低能效性能要求 (MEPS)。不满足 MEPS 要求的产品将不允许在市场上销售。
Introduction Like the Safety ST COA certification, Malaysia’s energy efficiency certification is also implemented by the Energy Commission (ST, Suruhanjaya Tenaga). On May 3, 2013, ST announced the new “Electricity (Amendment) Regulations 2013,” mandating energy efficiency labels and Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) for five categories of home appliances, including televisions, refrigerators, lighting, fans, and air conditioners. Products that do not meet MEPS requirements are not allowed to be sold in the market.
该法规的正式实施有一年的过渡期，即从 2014 年 5 月 3 日开始，所有管控产品都必须通过产品能效测试以获取含能效标准的 ST COA 证书并加贴能效标志。
The regulation had a one-year transition period, officially taking effect on May 3, 2014. All controlled products must pass energy efficiency testing to obtain an ST COA certificate that includes energy efficiency standards and must bear the energy efficiency label.
能效不单独设证书，而是并入安全 ST COA 证书中，申请时需同时递交安全报告和能效报告，出具的 ST COA 证书会同时包括安全和能效标准。
There is no separate certificate for energy efficiency; it is integrated into the Safety ST COA certificate. When applying, both the safety report and energy efficiency report must be submitted simultaneously. The issued ST COA certificate will cover both safety and energy efficiency standards.
